Quieter Than Others I Tried I bought this model after trying 2 others that were just too loud. This model is pretty quiet, there is a hum but I think my daughter likes the white noise of it. I use filtered or distilled water to cut down on build-up inside the unit. Any humidifier is going to have to be cleaned regularly. Vicks makes several different Cool Mist humidifiers so be careful which one you get because the others I tried were also Vicks and were really loud.
great to have in your set We have picked up several of these types of pieces during our train building/buying marathon that has lasted many years now. These are typical brio quality. They are well built, sturdy pieces. They have been helpful. We have found you need a variety of sizes and shapes to fill in the odd opening. These have been more than helpful because you can make your track go straight without having it go too far straight and running off the table.
not worth the money Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews but I felt the need to share my opinion about this product. I researched a lot of humidifiers before purchasing this one, because it sounded perfect for my son's room. Yes, it worked great for maybe 2 weeks but then I had to replace the filter which is supposed to last 3 months! I had the replacement filter for 1 week and I just threw it in the trash because it smelled like something died in the bedroom. I don't know if it is the New York City water or the poor quality of the filter but for every day use it is just not cutting it. Needless to say my husband is on his way to a store to buy something else!
Sensory Toy I highly recommend this product for any parent/guardian who has or know a child that is challenged with Sensory Integration Disorder SID. I recommend this product for children with strong upper body strength and can follow simple commands. The Spin Gym is slightly tilted, so pushing is not necessary. Spinning aids as a stimulus for the child and develops the vestibular system. As you read and learn about Sensory Integration Disorder I believe it will help more and more while enabling your child to successfully overcome obstacles with SID. This has been a very good product to add to my daughter's "sensory diet."
SUPER CUTE!!! LOVE this! I was worried it would be too small for actual use, but it's not - there is plenty of room for 5 diapers, travel wipes, hand sanitizer, disposable changing pads, diaper toss bags, mini diaper cream and my cell phone, wallet and other small items. There are no inside pouches, so I would recommend a little baggie for small items. Definitely would buy it for someone as a gift & there are lots of colors to choose from!
